Rittal AU COVID-19 Statement

I am pleased to inform you that despite current challenges, Rittal has this past weekend completed the successful transition to our new state of the art headquarter in Chullora, Sydney. The additional space and close proximity to major transport hubs and routes will help improve our ability to serve your needs and we hope it won’t be too long before we are welcoming visitors.

Regarding the current Covid-19 situation, Rittal has assessed the potential exposure to our global and local supply chains and a task force was set up as soon as news of the virus broke. Our core production facilities in Germany, China, USA and UK are currently on a business as usual basis. Factories in Italy and India have temporarily closed in line with Government directives, however procurement has been switched to other locations that can supply the same product. Plans to scale up and down various production facilities depending on the risk and outbreak remain ongoing, and we continue to work with our global leadership team to ensure that the delivery of Rittal products in our region will have minimal impact.  At present we have good levels of inventory and goods in transit to us.

In order to ensure our ability to operate our business and support you, whilst prioritising the health and safety of our staff, where possible we are deploying staff remotely and implementing risk mitigation strategies at our warehouse and modification centre locations. Additionally, we have instructed our field-based employees to avoid face-to-face meetings and observe the Government recommended and mandated measures for personal distancing until they’re no longer needed. Our field-based employees will remain active and engaged with our business via phone, email, video-conferencing, etc. and they are fully capable of supporting your day-to-day needs through these means. Please feel free to reach out to them for any support you need.

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to our business partners and employees as we all adapt to the quickly changing situation in front of us. Like you, we continue to monitor the situation, and respond based on practices recommended or mandated by state and federal Governments.
